I have 2 inch of lift and trimmed front mudflaps. Drives fine. Lose a bit of take of power but don't really notice it. Since getting my MTZ's they rubbed a bit a flex on the front. Some mild shaping with a hammer an no rubbing at all. Easy as. These are on stock alloys.

So your fuel light comes on with 30L of fuel left in the tank? Anyway if those figures are right id be happy. I had a mate with V6 D22 (a while ago) and he didnt get more than 400k (at best) to a 70L tank. Didnt matter how he drove it. Lucky it was a company car.

Id guess you drive a lot of roundabouts woznme. My Cooper ATRs lasted 120k. Bit left in them too. Only had 1 wheel alignment in that whole time.

Just reset the trip meter when you fill up the tank. Next time you fill the tank just write the trip kays on the back of the receipt. When you get home google a fuel consumption calc and enter the liters that you took to fill up (from your receipt) and the kays traveled and calculate. You...

Take it off and see. It unbolts via a flange at the front of it. I did it to mine but it made no noticeable difference to power for me. The noise had more of a rumble though.

From what I can tell the only GQ Patrols that came with rear drum brakes also came with an open centre. No LSD. I have had a few welded lockers in various cars in my day. None of them broke although my RX7 used to break axles when snatching 2nd. Got sick of it and fitted a tightly shimmed 4.1...
