I do an exhaust and unichip package on them with very good results. The standard headers are woefull just like the 2uz-fe landcruisers. So if your going to get it tuned, its a bit of a waste to do with the stock headers.

I have run a couple on the dyno with this kit. Beats the hell out of the top mount air/air kits out there. Not real flash for a water kit though in terms of temp drop. How much they charging for the kit?

Any cat converter needs a heat shield. The heat generated from one is very high. Laziness & Ignorance are the two main reasons for leaving heat shielding off. They are there for a reason and you should take every measure to ensure it is retained where possible.
