    Extended Shackles..... vibrations?

cheers for that..... I'm assuming the wedge is to help out with the Drive shaft angles and put the angle back to normal specs.... I don't have a BL in mine and the height was 760mm b4 installing the shackles and 792mm on the RHS and 805mm on the LHS after installing the shackles. As I said...

    Extended Shackles..... vibrations?

Guys..... I've just installed some extended rear shackles in my D22 which lifted the rear end by around 40mm (800mm from bottom of rim to guard). I've spoken to some who have installed the extended shackles & then started to noticed a small vibration in the driveline at low speeds. I can't be...

Tanami Pumps - Anyone tried one?

I used one of these + a small Whale in-line 12v pump when height was a issue.... the only downside is its only good for diesel, not petrol.... We used this system to drain a 44g drum out on the CSR many years ago.

Metal Clunking noise in front Suspension

These pics are of the upper control arm bushes. I've noticed with the front & rear bushes there seems to be quite a gap when the travel is at its max. When car is sitting normally the gap is even. I assume there's a metal sleeve inside the bush that prevents the bush from moving around. Pics...

Metal Clunking noise in front Suspension

Well, I'm still trying to locate this metal clunking sound, so I thought I'd jack up the front RHS suspension to see if I could see anything (BTW: these TB IFS front ends don't give much travel - 55mm drop). I took the following pics which I'm after some info as to whether this is common or...

Alternator woes - The saga continues - SOLVED

With those figures, I'd be swapping your Aux Battery into the Main battery position and trying the test out again. If u get the same results, then at least u know it's not the battery itself.... providing your Aux battery is in GOOD condition. Don't suppose u have access to a spare Alternator...

Alternator woes - The saga continues - SOLVED

Does it stay at that voltage even after the engine is up to operating temp? I know mine stays around 12.8v for a little while then kicks in and goes up to 14.4. I got a feeling this is battery related though.....(age) I know a lot of Alternators in cars today have a Temp component to them that...
