Ok no worries mate. Will have a look at mine and see if they can be removed. They are still good so could be a solution if I can get them out. Murph

    Hiedke's Road - Woodgate

Havent been on the forum much over the last couple of weeks but I would be up for a bit of exploring around that area. Was camping at Burrum Heads for chrimbo but didn't get the chance for any offroading. Would like to go back down. Not free the next 2 weekends but after that should be good...

    Gladstone Region

Been a bit up to my neck in it of late. Would be up for a trip but not for the next two weekends. This weekend I have my firearms safety course and on the Australia day weekend I am camping down in northern NSW. After that I am up for getting muddy/sandy or whatever. Murph

    Urgent help required.

On mine I tore the drivers side boot and got wet mud/grit into it. This wore away at the seal on the shaft and caused the leak. To replace a seal you would need to remove the steering rack and strip it down. Too much hassle for me. Easier in my mind to replace and a lot quicker too (unless...

Were you able to get separate bushes mate? If not, my old rack bushes are good if you need them. Murph

    Urgent help required.

Yeah mate, they could make it a bit easier. Al least it is done now and I hope that's the last time. I think I have shagged my spiral cable though. My airbag warning light is now flashing. Will try the reset tomorrow but it looks like I might be replacing it next :( Ah well, I haven't had...

Looks like no one has replaced a steering rack. Managed to sort it myself in daylight. Had to remove the drivers side damper and spring and drop the front diff. Murph

    Urgent help required.

Hi guys, My power steering rack has been leaking and I decided to replace it. Main problem is that I cannot get the rack out after disconnecting it. There does not appear to be enough space to slide it out. Has anyone removed their rack or seen it done? Just need some pointers on how to...

    Winch install Ironman Deluxe bar

I had to use my trolley jack to put it back up into position mate. A bit too heavy otherwise. A second pair of hands will also make things much easier. Regards Murph

    Winch install Ironman Deluxe bar

Not sure mate. Not familiar with the bar. Best way to tell is get down under the front of it and look for a removable section (probably held with 4 bolts) at the bottom middle of the bar. This would be a winch mounting tray if it is there. It should have 4 bolt holes for the winch as well...

    adventura or outlaw?? please help!

Sounds like you are from the UK mate. Best bet would be to register with Nissan-Navara.net as it is a UK forum. They would be able to tell you the differences better than us dwellers of Oz. We do not get the Adventura or Outlaw here. As for going for a manual or auto box, it does come down...

    Pollen filter and canopy/tub sealing - D40

Got mine from eBay. Can't remember the cost but way less than $92 a set. Amazing the difference they make. I didn't replace the existing set as there has never been a set installed til now. Would have thought they would be factory installed as standard. Murph

    Recovery points on D40

I replaced mine with the Outback Ideas Recovery points from EBay. Can't remember the cost but it replaces the factory towing point with no issues. I have the STX D40 so I had the threaded nuts on the driver side as well. Fitted both. The bolts are 12mm x 1.25 thread, can't remember the length...

    Leaky heater core?

What Old Tony said. If your core is leaking the inside will smell of coolant. Is the floor wet under the vents for the foot wells? Normally replacing the heater core involves a complete dash removal as manufacturers for some reason don't like making them easy to access. Replacement parts are...

    Whats a bloke to do?

You will find rent to be extortionate here mate. Try to get it worked into the contract if you can. Mine went up $95/week a few months back. I have heard worse though. Buying is also a bit steep but at least it is an investment. Regards Murph
