Nearly all cars I have experienced will piss coolant out when you take the radiator cap off. It means the system is working and holding pressure, which is what prevents it from overheating. Sounds normal by the sounds of it?

Mines done 210,000kms on the original chain, would it be worthwhile to pay someone to check it out? At those km, its a bit noisy, but nothing out of the ordinary. It blows a bit of smoke sometimes when I take off, although that could be the injectors. Thoughts?

Hi all, I noticed today the steering column shroud as unclipped at the top and will not clip back on, so Im wanting to take it off to have a look to see if there are broken ones. Does anyone know what type of screws they are? Its not a phillips or torx type, but some other foreign one! Thanks

Im assuming your daughter is at fault? I cannot understand how you'd be able to claim off AAMI if your car is the at fault party. Damage is consistent with being reversed into and without independant witnesses, it would be hard to prove its pre-existing damage.

Mine has a rattle at all sorts but thats the gearbox chatter I believe. Does it make the noise when you rev it out of gear in neutral?

I purchased my D40 with 205,000km and seems to be going good so far. Slight puff of smoke sometimes so need to get the injectors checked out.

Is that more on load or when the clutch is slightly disengaged?

I think I need to clean mine there is slight weeping at some of the hose joints. Is there anything else to clean apart from the intercooler and two hoses running to it? Would petrol / kero be ok to use as well?

I'll give it a go although I think mine is something else. Funny enough when the car is idling and I put slight pressure on the clutch it makes a small amount of noise although I don't know if that's because of the solid flywheel I have in it.

That sounds interesting. Maybe I can give that a go first before spending $$$ replacing injectors and that. The problem is, if I go and ask for a test to be done, chances are the advisor will just say why. Does the power balance test in consult test the spray and "health"of each individual...
