Ok guys its time for a new clutch 2.5 6 speed 06 d40 161,000 ks and just about gone and that's with a lot of towing as well, there,s been a lot of talk on hear about clutches but who fitted one and what did you use,the good and the bad. cheers AL

All ready spoke to chipit WA and they said it could be the SCV just thought id ask if any one has had this problem they did a new tune for me it is better but not as good as when I first did the chip.

G'day tim,yes I do have an egt gauge when it soots up the egt,s go up dramatically but it doesn't do it all the time and the power is ok but not great

G'day all having a problem with excess black smoke on the D40 rang chipit and they said it could be the suction control valve, has any one had this problem it doesn't do this all the time this has got me stuffed

I v done the straight through muffler and the egt have come down and I do have more talk but just after the muffler there's a smaller bend that's got to go as well,who no's why they would put a smaller diameter elbow in beats me.

So do you have a new chip in now or is it still the old one, because I have had the same problem it turned out to be a bad batch of chips,chipit replaced it and the problem solved.

Have you had a look at SAX SUSPENSION yet had it in my d40 for 10 months now and its brilliant,dont forget you only get what you pay for.

Ran the EGT cable through the grommet on the left hand side under the glove box you can't miss it, its big.

Have had it as high as 10 but the clutch started to smell.

Gday longy have my tune on 5 enough power, the chip go,s up in small increments as for the EGT sensor I took of the left hand inner guard that's the plastic peace and put it below the turbo pain in the ass to do but doable.

great power Iv got a chipit chip on tune 5 any more and the clutch begins to smell, but the car do,s have 130,000ks on the clock now still on the original clutch.

chipit chip for shore service and back up second to none,for exhaust I put a straight through muffler and thats it great power and lower egt,s

power increase for sure but if you drive it hard you will use more fuel,but no need to drive hard because you have so much more power you just rest your foot on the throttle and your ouya here.

Just go straight to chipit in WA thats what I did and they will help, and make shore you have your purchase receipt they will need to no the date it was purchased.

Well problem with the chip going crazy has happened again,so back on to chipit WA it turned out to be a bad batch of modules,the guys at chipit couldn't be more helpful if they tried new chip in the post and the d40 nav is spot on,turbo lag gone problem solved,big thanks to the boys at mitchell...

Got on to chipit today and it looks like I had the EGTs set to high,any how took the truck for a run with the van on and not a problem after the reset of the EGTs set the bottom at 525 and top at 625.

Were abouts is the TPS on the engine,
