yeah i tried the earth from the head unit to the chassis and that didnt work so ill try the earth on the tailight now..ill cut that wire and see if that works.

just thinking.... i put a reverse camera in and i used the power source from the left tail light. i used the earth there as well. do ya think that would do it even though it aint powered up when i am locking the car?

yeah i will have to pull it apart and have a looksee tommorrow.

today i installed a new head unit in my d40 and now the keyless entry wont work.. i shut the doors and tried to lock it and nothing so i opened the drivers door and flicked the locking switch on the dash a couple of times to see if the locks were working which they did but must have left it in...

FOUND IT!!!! After pulling the complete dash out and only left with the steering wheel the noise was still there. it ended up bein the shifter cable running up under the heater box! just after it comes off the shifter it runs forward then bends upward behind the heater.. this is where it was...

that was the first thing to go.. at the moment im driving it with just the instrument cluster.dashpad and the top glovebox and it is louder than ever..im sure its something to do with all that black plastic heater box stuff but nothing seems loose ...but ill find it...

ive just bought a 07 d40 and had a trailer on it goin down a windy mountain on and off the brakes but not riding them and thought that they didnt feel to good.. so i waited for a straight piece of road with nothing behind me and hit em real hard trying to lock the wheels up..no go tried it again...
