Hey everyone. New here, I've just been trying to figure some stuff out on my truck and wanting to see if anyone here could add their thoughts. She has a YD25DDTI engine and has no low end torque and no grunt overall. Struggles getting up hills and even moving from a stop. Everything is stock and am just wondering how to make her less of an embarrassment when I've got to do some decent hauling or just having fun. Cheers

firstly, check which engine. is it the common rail one?
any smoke?

Yes it's the common rail version and no smoke

first thing i would do is clean the maf sensor and replace fuel filter.
lack of smoke when faulty is typically lack of fuel. maf sensor is the main sensor that controls fuel. also worth check air flow ie air filter, nothing blocking intakes/snorkel etc.
timing chain is a known issue with yd25's. but check the cheap easy stuff first.
