Refused to engage 4hi or 4lo, the light only came on when trying to get out of 2hi. Whats your main issue?
Sorry mate forgot how to get back on this site still haven't fixed the issue been flat out with work, but my 4wd light stays on all the time and won't engage 4wd high or low, cheers

HI
Also wondering about this. I have the same issue with mine. Been to gearbox shop, apparently all in working condition seems to be a electrical thing. Thus far the sparky has tested relays, switch and linked to the 4wd computer. Signal is received at the brains, but does not go further to the actuator. According to live data viewing neutral switch is giving signal as should as well.

Replaced parts include below. All 4 relays with bosch replacements, all 3 sensors on the transfer.

Any other advise I could try. Have gone through forums looking for this issues. My father in law has same bakkie, I have swopped out all the sensors and actuator prior to purchasing without any luck.

Broken wire somewhere in the loom?

Hey mate, not sure on what else to check, my issue was the black relays in the end that were dodgy that i replaced. I have also seen something about water in the tf case, not sure if this affects the sensor. Good luck i hope you have a win sorry im not much help!

thanks. I tried the relays anyway. Was not them. Will post once issue is resolved. Did a water crossing, that had the vehicle going a bit floaty for a second or 2. Changed all the fluids immediately after returning home.

just to update. The end of my struggles.
Sent the the bakkie to the second auto Electrician(should have sent it here first time). Repair bill R2000 South Africa (Aus about $200) in repair bill. There were some dodgy connectors on the gearbox and transfer switches which he repaired first. Then saw from there the relays were not opening/shutting as supposed to. The 2 black one were replace with bosch units and all is working perfectly. Booked in at 9 in the morning and was ready late afternoon. Service, at last.
