hey guys got a 2003 d22 with the 3L td recently when i have been starting it in the mornings it would start straight away but try and stop a few seconds later. If i give it a bit of a rev i can usually keep it going. But once i have got it going it is right to turn off and start while it is still warm with no problem stopping. any ideas?

could be air leaking in the fuel line and fuel draining back to tank. get a bubble of air in the filter which causes the pump to starve.
i would change fuel filter. check the primer head is pumping ok.
if that doesn't help then fit clear fuel line and look for bubbles.

+1. Easiest way to tell if it's air is to try priming it. It should take no more than 5-6 squeezes of the primer bulb before it's quite firm. If you can get to 10 squeezes you're either Popeye or there's air in it.
if it takes anything more than a couple of pushes of the primer i would be concerned.
