#3 Glow plug has developed an oil leak since the new turbo was put on 3000km ago.
At the time of the replacement of the turbo the mechanic also changed the "burnt out" piece of garden hose I was using on my catch can with a piece of "radiater" type hose - of smaller diameter!! THis may have caused the problem that has led to the oil leak at the glow plug.
It would appear that an increase in blow by is causing the leak. The catch can pipe is still venting to air and has the characteristic puff of oil/vapour/smoke when the engine is running.
Four new glow plug seals were put in and a short drive later and #3 is still leaking. What next? Pressure test on the cylinders to make sure they are not kaput?
Begining to think that the turbo blowing waqs the result of a bigger issue/fault. When the head was off we looked at the top of the pistons but not the underside to look for holes or cracks.
