Hello and greetings to you all!

Recently I bought myself this awesome 1990 Nissan Navara 4x4 with pretty low ks and immediately fell in love with it.
It brings me where ever I want to go and is way cooler than my modern car.

But there’s one thing I’d really like to change, I want it to get a turbo. (Pretty gutless)
I red that it’s supposed to be relatively easy to turbo the engine, because there’s a factory turbo set up for it.
Now I’m writing you guys here with the hope to get pushed in the right direction. Does anybody of you have a guide of how to turbo a td27 engine? Any recommendations or advice? I see there are lots of knowledgeable people in this forum.
Or maybe even a spare td27 turbo set up for sale?

Greetings out of whakatane!

no idea if someone's done a write up on it. tho check out offroadexpress.kiwi someone did a fair bit on finding the best turbo's etc.
easy way is to get the turbo engine out of the terrano or at least all the turbo, oil lines, air hoses, filter etc, and the injection pump.

otherwise find turbo setup, thats bolt on. connect a oil supply and return.

fueling is a bit harder. simple way is to just wind in the fuel screw a bit more. downside is lack of boost compensation.
or get a boost comp fitted, or replace injection pump with terrano version that has the boost comp.
