And 5 weeks. My bad on spelling. iPhone auto correct always gets me

I didnt need extended brake lines when i did mine either, fit them up and see how you go. i was going to bend the mounts slightly if i needed some more length but didnt do that either.

Easy as. Now I
Just have to decide if I want to wait 5 weeks. Or just pay the extra $160 postage

ok...whats the legality of aftermarket upper control arms?

legal? or illegal?

just wondering if i put them in before or after the bodylift. i don't want 3" of lift, just the extra down travel at 2" of lift.

here in tas i had to get the vehicle engineered and mod plated, we follow the national code of practice so anything over 50mm of lift needs to be mod plated. also had to do a lane change test due to the height of the lift + body lift + bigger tyres.

Hey josh,

Legalities for fitting aftermarket upper control arms is, the arms have to be checked and modification plated by an authorised modification inspector. So really all its saying is install the arms, then ring up a company that does mod plates for cars, they come out and inspect the job and make sure its all legit, then pay the $150 for them to stick yet another blue mod plate under your bonnet somewhere.

That's it

From the mouths of QLD transport themselves, "if it changes the vehicle from manufacturers specifications, you can't have it."

So aftermarket UCA's are illegal... I'll just wait till after the body lift is approved....

just needs to be mod plated josh, they told you a porky. Rusty gave you the correct lowdown for Qld

Thanks guys! I really hate the TMR. They're always telling lies! Anyone know if they'll mod plate a body lift so I don't have to visit a TMR inspection depot?

Ring the mod plate guys and ask. Its their licence/neck on the line so i'm sure they'll give you the right info. If you ask em they can use the same mod plate for a few codes, or you'll end up with loads of them under the bonnet.

na mate im not sure on the bodylift. i always thought it had to go over the TMR cause of the way the paperwork goes. i dont think the mod plate guys can do the bodylift as it has to be approved by tmr.

goodluck
