D40 front speakers

Hi all my front speaker has gone on strike has anyone bought aftermarket 1s that are like for like without drilling and cutting to fit many thanks Tony

Yes I bought a set of Pioneer oval speakers and they bolted straight in. I think they were 5 1/4". I don't have the box or model number. It was about 4 years ago and I doubt that model speaker still exists but it's worth trying a set of 5" to 6" oval speakers.

I replaced my dead ones too, unfortunately no idea what size they are now. I can’t remember. Straight forward job - once you get the door trims off.

Bit of a search around might give you more info in what works.

I think the front ones in D40 are 6x9", and rear is either 5" or 6" round.

They are 6X9's in the front.

Just get some aftermarket JVC's from Supercheap etc, better sound and are about $60-70 for the pair

I relace my front ones with 400w 6x9 jvc and rear was 250w 6" jvc in front is loud enogh to have to ajsst mirrors all the time. Have you got a decent head unit?

No just original head can you get them so I can keep the 6 cd working

The factory head unit has more than enough power in it.

I will add though, I replaced mine with an Android head unit and the sound quality difference was VERY noticeable from the stock stereo (way better from the Android))
