Cania Dam

Hi Guys, not sure if this is even the right section. But called into the Cania Gorge/dam on the way home from camping at winfield crabbing,prawning and fishing. Was defineately a nice relaxing change around Monto aera heaps of time to explore the history behind the dam build and the monument to the early settlers of the area.
even thought it was only a quick lookover of the area my family was keen to check out in a bit more detail and explore this hidden gem the young bloke at the local IGA hinted about.

yeah cania in general is a great chill out spot. nothing really to do but enough stuff to keep you amused while relaxing. thr caravan park is great if you have young kids to. water park jumping pillows and bird feeding. great family spot and you can still have a bloody fire unlike most spots these days

Cania big4 is one of our favourites. Only a couple of hours away, plenty for the kids to do with minimal supervision so we can sit back with a coldie in hand and talk shit around a camp fire!

Yeah stayed at the big 4 back in October. Was great and there is some nice back road driving out that way too.
