can u make it louder from stock

hey guys just want to no if i can make my navara d40 t/d louder like a truck diesel well maybe not a truck but a patrol ..without getting a whole new exhaust im not looking for power gain or fuel just want to make it sound like a tough diesel

I'm sure removing the dump pipe will achieve the goal. Just accidentally forget to reconnect it.

It's mighty dangerous. Have seen engines running with headers removed in the past, and the noise is astonishing - but it's also not very pleasant, even when revving the engine.

If you want a sound of a big, big diesel with great big hairy balls, you could try bolting a DD15 into it. 2850Nm of torque from a 6 cylinder engine sounds pretty good eh? 417kW on tap, can't be bad. Oh, it's 14.7L of capacity so you might want a bigger fuel tank, but imagine the looks you'll get!
