    Since we are talking bush remedies, installing an inline fuel pump at the tank or firewall before the fuel filter will help bleeding pump.     Hopeless, get ur d22 to an actual diesel pump repairer/diagnostic place. Even if u have to tow it. They will let u know pretty quick what is going on if they are any good. Getting ECU checked is a must as well. Ur year model is relatively simple compared to later.

    Spend twenty dollars and buy /install an inline fuel pump at tank or where flexible fuel hose starts at firewall. Have it switch on/off with ignition or manually in cabin from battery. Gives u positive fuel flow and u can then determine if it’s fuel or something else.

    Lots to be said for installing a low pressure inline pump at firewall or near fuel tank as I have found so many primer bulb filters leak air. Just run a normal CAV or similar filter. Inline pump does not have to run once fuel system is air free. Easy and cheap.
